About The League

Clans United is a European Half-Life 2: Deathmatch gaming platform which currently runs 3 different modes of Valves multiplayer game

At present you can take part in the following leagues: (Rules have been modelled after the highly popular sports organisation CAL and sta' s)

  • Regular 3on3 HL2DM league (original gameplay of Valve)
  • Regular 2on2 HL2DM league (original gameplay of Valve)
  • Regular 1on1 HL2DM league (original gameplay of valve)
1.10 Mission statement
Clans United (CU) is a Half Life 2 Deathmatch online gaming league for Europe. The aim of Clans United is to provide a fair competitive game environment for European HL2DM players

Our aim is it to help keep the game alive and help the community increase by involving the players into running leagues which are maintained in a professional and respectable competitive environment

1.20 Structure
CU runs 3vs3 and 2vs2 leagues each consist of 5 regular season weeks. These seasons happen three times a year or more. The 3v3 league is divided into 5 divisions of 6 teams each and the 2v2 league consists of 4 divisions with 6 teams each

To provide a fair level of skill within the divisions at the end of each season, top two of each division are promoted up one division and bottom two demoted to the lower division CU also runs 1v1 Live Cups every week during the regular seasons

1.30 Disclaimer
All participants must observe and uphold the rules of this league. It lies in the participant's own responsibility and interest to know the rules and follow them. Under no circumstances does the participant have the right to deny knowledge of CU or disobey the official league rules

It is the player’s responsibility to check the rules regularly and to follow them. Breeching the rules set by CU may result in suspension or permanent ban from the league. Playing in the league is not a right, it is a privilege

1.40 Signing up as a player
To play in Clans United every player is required to register at www.clans-united.net and provide the following information :
  • Nick name
  • Team shorthandle (clan tag)
  • A valid email address
  • Contact method (Steam Friends)
  • Steam ID
(use the command "status" in the in-game console to find out your Steam ID)

Each player can only play in one team per ladder, cup or tournament. Using multiple accounts is strictly forbidden and will result in suspension from the league

To circumvent unfair player swaps during the played season a player who changes the team in the current season will have a seven day lock wait until he is allowed to attend to the matches again

The following pieces of information are required to register a team at Clans United
  • Full team name
